It all started with a birthday party of my class fellow in my bachelors, I decided to make the cake myself, as we wanted to do something unique for the party and not just an ordinary bakery cake that we used to get for all the birthdays. I decided to go for a cookie monster cake with minion cupcakes, It was my first time making fondant and it was crazy I had no idea about how to go about with the cake and it took me forever to complete, but inside I was super excited for making something colorful. It was 2nd may, Sehrish’s and Kisa’s birthday. It was crazy hot that day, we girls decided to make a little arrangement in our common room to surprise the birthday girls and this is how the cake looked.

So many people were coming to table and asked where the cake was from and It was such a motivation for me but never for once did I think of starting my own business by this time. Then I was in the university’s lobby and a senior came to me and asked me If I take orders, I told her no I don’t but she said I think you should start doing it professionally. Well the day passed, and I received a message from a family friend who was looking for a baker who can take an order for mothers day, and I told her I can do it for you and it was her trust in me that helped me start thinking to start up a business. This was my second unofficial order.

She was so happy with her order and that was the best feeling ever. Then I decided to start up a Facebook page, before that I discussed it with my family as I always wanted to do something, I already had some plans in my mind like crochet goods, catering business etc. My parents were very positive about it, but were skeptical how it will all work. I was scared of taking the first step, had so many thoughts in my mind whether Ill get orders or will have to shut it down, however I chose to hush every one of these musings and just take the first high step, that was the formulation of a Facebook page. This was how TT’s Kitchen was initiated. All the credit goes to my family and my friends who were always there to support and thats how with positive word of mouth my business started spreading.
